Mayor Samantha Johnson and the Kingsland City Council tabled a proposed building permit ordinance to allow new city attorney Tristian Bransetter-Thomas to review it.
Council member Linda Burns reported the city should begin receiving sales tax revenue from Dollar General in January.
She said some corporate paperwork was missing needed to be added to the annexation ordinance to make it active. Johnson also announced an audit of the water and sewer system following concerns about unpaid accounts and faulty meters. The council addressed two state audit findings, renewed and consolidated certificates of deposit, tabled a proposal for a city debit card, approved a $19-per-hour public works supervisor position, and reported delivery of a $35,000 fire truck.
