The Woodlawn School Board approved its annual School Choice Capacity Resolution Monday night after the district gained a net 23 students through the School Choice program. Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock reported that 24 students transferred into the district while one transferred out before the June 1 deadline.
The board also approved $7,100 in incentive funding for staff members who volunteer on the district’s certified school security team. Other actions included hiring educational consultant John Wink for professional development, naming Hancock as financial officer for the 2026-27 school year, renewing student insurance coverage, updating bank account signatories, and hiring Amanda Duvall as an elementary paraprofessional.
