Strong Forfeits All 2023 Football Games; Bears Now Finish 6-4

RISON - Woodlawn football coach Zach Meyer learned last Friday that his Bears will officially finish the 2023 season with a winning record after the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) announced that the Strong-Huttig Bulldogs were forfeiting all their games this season.

Lions Cash in on Wildcat Miscues For 40-27 Playoff Win

RISON - Troubling vibes, starting when Jessieville was awarded its onsides kick to start the game, never ceased in last Friday night's Class 3A state playoff opener at George Walker Field of Champions.

Canon Cope Signs with Southern Arkansas

RISON - Rison High School senior catcher Canon Cope (center) signed a national letter of intent last Wednesday, Nov. 8, to play baseball for the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders at Magnolia. The upcoming 2024 baseball season will be the first time for Canon Cope to play for the Wildcats.
