Woodlawn, Spring Hill Will Determine No. 3 Seed Friday

WOODLAWN - The no. 3 playoff seed for the eight-man South Conference will be determined Friday night when the Woodlawn Bears host the Spring Hill Bears at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. The junior high teams are scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity teams at 7 p.m.

Powder Puff Game Nov. 2 at Rison

RISON - Rison High School will host a Powder Puff game Thursday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. The LadyCats will battle it out for a year's worth of bragging rights. Admission is $3 and gates open at 6 p.m. The Wildcats will be cheering them on from the sidelines.

Rison Hosts Barton in Crucial 6-3A Clash

RISON - Fresh off their first win of the season, the “banged up” Rison Wildcats will try to extend their momentum for another week when they host the Barton Bears Friday night in a crucial 6-3A Conference clash at George Walker Field of Champions.

Rison 7th Graders Beat Lake Village

RISON - The Rison 7th grade Wildcats defeated Lake Village, 20-16, last Thursday evening at George Walker Field of Champions. The young 'Cats will finish their season this Thursday on the road at Barton, facing the 7th grade Bears in a game scheduled for 5:30.

Lady Wildcats Take South Region

EL DORADO - Rison Lady Wildcat girls cross country team won first place at the Class 1A/2A South Region Cross Country Meet held Tuesday, Oct. 17, in El Dorado. Three Lady ‘Cats finished in the top 10 individually. Lara Sotres, a sophomore, won the meet with a time of 22:52.
