JUNCTION CITY - The Woodlawn Lady Bears opened 8-2A conference play Tuesday with a 19-1 blowout of the Junction City Lady Dragons.Woodlawn was up 1-0 when the Lady Bears exploded for seven runs in the third and 11 more in the fourth to invoke the 15-run rule.

LONOKE - The Class 4A Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits made quick work of the Rison Lady Wildcats last Thursday with a 15-0 win in three innings at Lonoke.The Lady Rabbits had seven hits and seven walks over two at-bats, producing 10 runs in the first and five in the second.

HAMPTON - Ethan Saeler’s tip-in as time expired helped  Woodlawn send the game into overtime, but the Bears were unable to completely get over the hump as Junction City Dragons, held on for 67-64 win in overtime in the third-place game at the Region 4 Tournament on Saturday.

RISON - The Rison Lady Wildcats were unable to climb out of an early four-run hole as they fell to the Junction City Lady Dragons, 10-3, in the season opener Monday afternoon at Lady Wildcat Field.
Those members of the 1990 Rison Wildcat state championship football team attending the Rison Sports Hall of Fame induction were (not in order) Chris Brandon, Floyd Harper, Jim Knowles, Ryan Reed, Greg Hyatt, Jason Reed, and Thomas Powell; juniors Brad Phillips, Jonathan Young, Pat Williams, Clarence Parker, Chad Rawls, Chris Sandine, Steven Loyd, and sophomores Daniel Fore, Davy King, Brian McKinney and Jerome Brandon. Head Coach Mark Whatley and defensive coordinator Blair Brown also attended.
