WOODLAWN - Woodlawn High School will begin the 2023 Homecoming Activities Thursday, Oct. 12 with the annual afternoon Homecoming Ceremony beginning at 2 p.m.
School will be dismissed at the conclusion of the ceremony. On Thursday evening, the Homecoming Ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m.
WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn School District will hold its annual Report to the Public as well as public hearing on its 2022 Facilities Master Plan beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at the school cafeteria, Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock has announced.

WOODLAWN - The Hermitage Hermits have forfeited their South Conference game against the Woodlawn Bears that was scheduled for this Friday night, Oct. 6, at Hermitage, Woodlawn Coach Zach Meyer has announced.
STAVES - The Jones-Shelton Reunion will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the "Y" Community Center on Hwy. 35 North at the Staves community. A potluck will be served at about noon. All friends and family are invited to come.
RISON - GRAMMY and Academy of Country Musicnominated, multi-platinum artist David Nail will headline this Saturday's Rison in the Fall Festival, Oct. 7, in downtown Rison.
Nail will close out an evening of free performances at 8 p.m.
RISON - County Judge Jimmy Cummings told the Cleveland County Quorum Court Monday night that he will pursue state grant money to replace four bridges along county roads that the state has declared need to be upgraded.
KINGSLAND - Mayor Sharon Crosby told the Kingsland City Council last Thursday that the city will be seeing a significant rate increase for water and sewer service once a statemandated rate study is completed next month.
RISON - The Rison City Council decided Tuesday night to seek letters of interest from people who would like to fill the unexpired term of Ward A, Position 1 councilman Scott Morrison, who submitted a letter of resignation after moving to Northwest Arkansas.
