RISON - The Democrat Party of Cleveland County will have a Committee meeting on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 12 noon in the Hall-Morgan Building., Vice Chair Lee Harper has announced.Anyone interested in the County Chair and or Treasurer position please attend this meeting.

Rison Methodist Food Pantry Sept. 27

RISON - Rison United Methodist Church will be hosting a food pantry from 7:30 to 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at an earlier time due to the heat.The church, located at 800 Main Street, holds its food pantry the fourth Saturday of each month.

Food Pantry Sept. 20 at Macedonia MBC

RISON - Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, located at 7370 Hwy. 35 South, will open its Food Pantry Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The church holds its food pantry the third Saturday of each month.

Poultry Testing Saturday at Livestock Barn

RISON - The Cleveland County Fair Association will conduct poultry testing this Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. in advance of the County Fair.The testing will take place in the Livestock Barn. Those attending should enter through Gate 3.For more information, call Frankie Harper at (870) 461-0396.

Macedonia MBC Launches Awana

RISON - Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 7370 Hwy. 35 south of Rison, will have its Awana Launch beginning at 6 p.m. this Wednesday at the church.Macedonia’s Awana Launch will include a meal with dessert and snacks plus outside water activities.
