Woodlawn Board Meeting Monday to Approve Budget

WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn School Board will have a special called meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, in the administration office to address the 2025-26 school budget.The Woodlawn School Board voted during its regular monthly meeting on Sept. 8 to hold the special meeting this Monday, Sept.

Toys for Tots Holding Drive This Week at County Fair

We kicked off our Local 2025 Christmas Campaign Saturday, September 13 at the Dallas County Fair in Fordyce, Arkansas. We enjoyed the copious amounts of sunshine, being in the parade, and also handing out items at our booth like stickers, pens, and pencils to youth while eliciting numerous smiles.

PRAYING FOR PEACE - The Woodlawn High School Fellowship of Chri stian Athletes (FCA) meet at the flagpole before school every Thursday for prayer. Last Thursday, Sept. 11, Lindsey Tooke requested through social media for parents and students to meet at 7:30 a.m. to pray for our country, our community and our leaders after the assassination of conservative pundit Charlie Kirk at the Utah Valley University and the school shooting in Colorado, as well as remembering the anniversary of 9-11.

MANCHESTER, NH - Kaitlyn Lee of Rison has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's (SNHU) Summer 2025 President's List. The summer terms run from May to August.Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.

Vigil Saturday in Rison for Charlie Kirk

RISON - A candlelight vigil in remembrance of conservative activist Charlie Kirk will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, on the Cleveland County Courthouse lawn.Organizers Lee and Crystal Freeman invite the public to join them to honor Kirk, by bringing signs and candles.
