NEW EDINBURG - The Cleveland County Hamsters will be setting up an Amateur Radio demonstration as part of “Parks on the Air” this Saturday, May 17, at Mark's Mill Battleground State Park located at the Hwy. 8/Hwy 97 near New Edinburg.The demonstration will be of several ways communication can be achieved using amateur radios will trying to make as many contacts as possible. The day has also been designated QSO Party day for the state of Arkansas (QSO in radio speak means a two way conversation) so there should be ample opportunity to make contacts on the air.
