RISON - Frankie Harper, superintendent of poultry and rabbits for the 2024 Cleveland County Fair, will be testing poultry at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the fairgrounds in Rison.Anyone who would like to enter or has any questions about the poultry or rabbit show can call Frankie Harper at (870) 4610396.Harper announced that there will be a Junior Heritage poultry competition held through the American Conservancy. Heritage poultry includes those poultry breeds like Barred Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, etc. that have traditionally been found on family farms.Both Junior and Open (Senior) divisions are welcome to show poultry and rabbits at this year's county fair, Harper said. ...
