RISON - Any person that has heifer cattle ages 4 to 12 months and would like to have them Bangs vaccinated, please call the Cleveland County Extension Office at 870-325-6321. Please provide the number of heifers to be vaccinated as well as directions to your farm. Vaccination routes will be developed from the responses received and each participating producer will be notified on the approximate time their farm will be visited. A representative from the Arkansas Livestock & Poultry Commission will administer the vaccinations. It is necessary that facilities are in good working order and have a working chute and head gate to ensure the safety of the technicians and heifers. This is a free service provided by Arkansas Livestock & Poultry Commission and is important to the health of Arkansas cattle.
