The Cleveland County Hamsters will be getting together for an informal lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan 8, at Triple Cross BBQ and More in Rison.The lunch is open to anyone interested in learning more about amateur radio. The club also announced several other events taking place in the region: On Saturday, Jan. 10, (weather permitting) the club will be sponsoring a ""Parks on the Air" event at White Oak Lake State Park near Chidester starting at about 9 a.m.On Saturday, Jan. 17, the Cleveland County Hamsters will be having their regular club meeting at 9 a.m. at Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church, 2230 Hwy. 35 North at Rison.On Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 24-25, the club will be hoting "Winter Field Day" by setting up radios at the Rison Fire Department and participating in this world wide event on Saturday starting around 9 am.Anyone interested in radio communications is invited to attend!
