The Local Toys for Tots Christmas Campaign is looking forward to returning to Rison in the Fall on Saturday, Oct. 18. The local campaign strives to serve youth in need and at-risk youth from the ages of 0-18 because every child deserves a little Christmas. At our booth, we will be collecting unwrapped toys, books, bikes, trikes, puzzles, games, and other meaningful donations. All items need to be in a new condition as they will be provided at gifts to youth for Christmas. We will also have a QR code available for those that wish to make a financial contribution.Do you need community service volunteer hours for graduation? Do you like helping younger children smile? Consider volunteering for the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program servicing your local communities. Service opportunities include such things as helping man booths, greeting people kindly with a smile and encouraging them to have a wonderful day, handing out items to youngsters, collecting donations, and putting together requests for area agencies and ministries, which, in turn, also help youth in our local communities. You might also be able to serve for a year or more in the Toys for Tots Youth Ambassador Leadership Program. If you, your group, or your business would like more information on how to participate with the local Toys for Tots Campaign serving Cleveland, Dallas, Jefferson, and Lincoln Counties, write to pine.bluff.ar@toysfortots.org.
