Ronald and Martha Vaughn Brewer Thompson married Feb. 18, 1956 at her parents home in the “Y” community by Bro. Billy Joe Evans of Bethel No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church.The couple celebrates their 70th anniversary this week.They married just two and a half months after meeting on a blind date, shortly before Ronald was shipped off by the Air Force to Guam.They are the parents of Malynda Hogue and Ron Thompson, Jr....
