LITTLE ROCK - The 2024 Arkansas Game & Fish modern gun youth hunt will be held next Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2-3, as well as Jan. 4-5. The youth hunt is open statewide across all hunting zones.In Arkansas, hunters must between 6 and 15 years to participate in the youth modern gun deer hunt. Youth who have not completed hunter education must be under the direct supervision of an adult who is at least 21 years old. Those who have completed hunter education can hunt independently, but parental or guardian discretion is advised.The modern gun season for deer opens for everyone on Saturday, Nov. 9 and continues through Sunday, Dec. 1.
