Free Fishing Weekend June 9-11 Across State

ITTLE ROCK - Thanks to a proclamation by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, anyone may fish in Arkansas without a fishing license or trout stamp from noon Friday, June 9, through midnight Sunday night, June 11.

RISON - Col. Ralph Tildon recalled the first time he ever spoke with Staff Sgt. Danny Lee Jacks said a lot about the kind of person that Jacks was. It was in Vietnam in the fall of 1969 and Tildon was serving as an executive officer in the same Army company as Jacks.

Fordyce Woman Dies in One-Car Wreck at Kingsland

Five From County Will Compete In Miss Arkansas, Teen Pageants

LITTLE ROCK - Cleveland County will have representation in both Miss Arkansas and Miss Arkansas' Teen pageant competitions held this week in Little Rock. Alli Beth King of Rison, the reigning Miss Southeast Arkansas will compete for the Miss Arkansas title during Saturday's pageant.
