County To Review Pay For Skill Positions

RISON - The Cleveland County Quorum Court decided to form a three-person committee to research possible pay adjustments for certain skill positions within county government during County Judge Jimmy Dale Adair’s first quorum court meeting since his appointment last month.

RISON - Rickey Spencer of Kingsland, a former member of both the Kingsland and Cleveland County School Boards, informed the Herald last Friday that he intends to run for Cleveland County Judge in the Republican primary. He said he will release a formal announcement later.

Oct. 15 Is Deadline For Property Taxes

RISON - Cleveland County Tax Collector Patti Wilson has announced that the deadline for paying 2024 personal and real property taxes is Wednesday, Oct. 15. Taxes can be paid at the tax collector’s office at the courthouse at Rison.
