Allen and Beth Rippy of Calmer Are the 2026 Cleveland County Farm Family of the Year

Body

Allen and Beth Rippy, owners of AB Cattle in the Calmer community, have transformed what was once their hobby into a 240-acre operation focused on developing livestock that can tolerate the heat and humidity of the South. After observing Brahman cattle thrive in Southern conditions, the Rippys began crossbreeding Brahmans with American Reds, Red Angus and Santa Gertrudis. Their focus has shifted from beef production to producing high-quality replacement females and show cattle, with genetics playing a central role. The Rippys have invested in pasture management, rotational grazing, parasite control and improved genetics from respected Texas breeders. Their efforts earned them recognition as the 2026 Cleveland County Farm Family of the Year.
