The Rison Wildcats will host the winless Drew Central Pirates for homecoming Friday at 7 p.m., looking to rebound from a 32-26 loss at McGehee. Coach Chris Vereen warned his team not to overlook Drew Central, which has shown offensive potential despite an 0-6 record, scoring 50 points against Fordyce two weeks ago. The Pirates rely heavily on their running game, led by sophomore Cameron Sanders. Rison must improve its defense against run-oriented teams as it enters a challenging stretch of conference play. Kyson Walker is expected to return from a shoulder injury, while lineman Brayden Kelly is expected to miss the game.
