Submitted by Marty BowlinWhat a nice time we had at the Pioneer Village Festival, April 19. The weather was nice and although the crowd was slow, the folks that showed up seemed to really enjoy themselves. I've always heard it takes a Village, our volunteers showed up and we appreciate each and everyone who gave of their time and energy. Whether it was cleaning a building, helping with the construction of the jail or baking cornbread, cakes or cookies, it was definitely appreciated.Once again Kristy Lowery helped with the "Best Beard" contest with the winner being Ronnie Baumer, and the seed spitting winners were Michael Richie, Lynn Wilson and Grady Ballard.Thank you to the family of Paul Stephenson for donating roses in his memory.We appreciate Mr. Bob Abbott for the new rockers placed on the front porch of the Beard House....
