Good afternoon, I hope you're all fairing well in this heat. In celebration of our nation's 250th anniversary, I hope some of you are enjoying a long weekend. Our deputies have been out in full force today, covering as much of the county as possible with their patrols, and we will continue this increased patrol presence throughout the holiday weekend to ensure a safe and enjoyable  experience for everyone.

Arrests:
1-Criminal mischief 
2-Driving on suspended driver’s license
1-Careless and prohibited driving

Other arrests:
-Jerry Marshall of Rison; domestic battery in the third degree Class A misdemeanor. 
-Deputy Reed made a traffic stop Thursday evening on State Highway 189 south. The stop resulted in the arrest of Brandon Dalton of Kingsland for the following warrants: Cleveland County $7,570, Bradley County $2,622, Jefferson County $1,975, Monticello PD $2,610, Calhoun County $1,305, and a no bond warrant out of Wheeler County, Texas. Dalton was also driving on a suspended license. The total bond amount was $16,082.

Felony arrests:
-Taylor Sims of North Little Rock; Aggravated assault Class B Felony, criminal mischief in the second degree Class A Misdemeanor.
-Jeffery Carter of Pine Bluff; Theft of property Class D Felony.
