The Woodlawn School Board approved a $2.2 million bond issue, netting about $2.1 million, to help construct a new career education center at Woodlawn High School. The bonds, awarded to Carty, Harding & Hearn at a 4.1% interest rate, are the second issued following voters' approval of a 2-mill tax increase in 2025. The board also reviewed a legislative audit with two findings, discussed possible changes from class rankings to a Latin honors system, reduced graduation requirements from 24 to 22 credits, approved AI-related handbook policies, received updates on a new elementary playground, and approved several personnel hires.
