10 YEARS AGO OCTOBER 28, 2015 Rison Shine Downtown Development decided Thursday that it will ask the City of Rison about forming a special commission that will focus on raising funds to help improve and maintain Pioneer Village in Rison.Local law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation into a break-in at the Rison One Stop early Monday morning that led to the theft of some cash and cigarettes.Halloween activities are on tap across Cleveland County this Saturday.Judge Gary Spears lifted the burn ban for the county Monday. The ban had been in place since late September due to an extended period of dry weather.
