Lions' Quarterback to Test Wildcats This Friday Night

RISON - After surviving the 30 pass attempts by Dumas quarterback Joseph Jones last Friday night in their season opener, head coach Clay Totty says the Rison Wildcats can probably expect more of the same this week when they go on the road again to face the Bis‐marck Lions of the 4-3A Confer‐ence.
GO-AHEAD SCORE - Rison’s DJ Kines (left, no. 14) breaks loose for a 15-yard touchdown run with 1:36 left in the game to give the Wildcats their first lead, 19-14. Monticello, after seeing its 14-0 halftime lead disappear, mounted a late rally to score with 26 seconds left to pull out a 20-19 victory. RISON - The Rison Wildcats took their first lead with 1:56 left only to see the Class 4A Monti‐cello Billie mount a late come‐back and score with 26 seconds left to come away with a 20-19 victory Tuesday night in a scrimmage matchup at George Walker Field of Champions.

Woodlawn To Hold Black-White Game On Friday, Aug. 26

WOODLAWN - The Wood‐lawn Bears will host a Black-White scrimmage game begin‐ning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at the Carl Jones Sports Complex, Coach Zach Meyer has announced. Admission will be a bottle of water or Gatorade or a protein bars.
