RISON - What a difference having some film on the opponent can make. Woodlawn went into its season opener at Parkers Chapel back on Sept. 2 with nothing more than about 15 seconds of YouTube video to work with. The Bears got down early but battled back for a 42-28 victory over the Trojans.

MONTICELLO - The Rison Junior High Wildcats notched their first victory of the 2022 football season Thursday night of last week, when they routed the Drew Central Junior High Pirates, 32-6, in their 6-3A Conference opener.

WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn Junior High boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Crossett Invitational Meet held Sept. 10 held at the Scott McCormick Sports Complex, Coach Syndey Adair has announced. The junior boys were second overall as a team, finishing behind the first place team by 1:16.
