RUMC Choir Announces December Christmas Cantata

RISON - The Rison United Methodist Church Choir will host The First Noel Cantata Sunday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. at the church.An encore variation of the program will be performed Friday, Dec. 20 at the Rison Shine and Pioneer Village’s special Christmas Food Truck Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

THORNTON - Cayce's Charities will host a Food Give Away Saturday, Nov. 23, 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Cayce Food Bank by Cayce House, 403 South Second Street in Thornton.The give away is sponsored by Daniel, Candice, and Joannie Cayce.

Rison Approves Loans for Water Lines

RISON - The Rison City Council approved an ordinance securing two loans last week that will help the city salvage a $1.5 million grant to replace many of the oldest water lines in the city.Ordinance 2024-002 gave Mayor Charles Roberts permission to sign off on two loans: one a $450,595.
