THORNTON - Cayce's Charities will host a Food Give Away Saturday, Nov. 23, 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Cayce Food Bank by Cayce House, 403 South Second Street in Thornton.The give away is sponsored by Daniel, Candice, and Joannie Cayce.

A member of the work crew said the project could be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting. Rison was awarded at $1.62 million grant in 2023 to refurbish both of its water tanks. Rison Approves Loans for Water Lines

RISON - The Rison City Council approved an ordinance securing two loans last week that will help the city salvage a $1.5 million grant to replace many of the oldest water lines in the city.Ordinance 2024-002 gave Mayor Charles Roberts permission to sign off on two loans: one a $450,595.

CCSB Votes To Move 2025 Election To Consider Options

RISON - The Promised Land Hunting Club held its 20th annual youth hunt Saturday, November 2, 2024. Raylon Thompson received trophies for harvesting the largest doe and a hog. A devotional was presented by Raylon Thompson followed by a meal served to the hunters and guests.
