Cleveland County School Board Meets This Monday

RISON - The Cleveland County School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 17, at the administration building in Rison. It will be the first meeting for new Superintendent Jerrod Williams.

Repairs Needed To Keep Jail Open

RISON - Sheriff Jack Rodgers told the Cleveland County Quorum Court Monday night that he may have to close the county jail unless some much needed repairs are made.

County, Rison Both Approve Ordinances on Data Mining

RISON - The Cleveland County Quorum Court and the Rison City Council both approved ordinances this week placing noise limitations and other restrictions on data mining centers that might come to the county or city.

Kingsland Approves Ordinance Allowing Store To Move Forward

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council took what should be the final step in allowing the land sale for a new Dollar General store to go forward after approving an ordinance closing certain alleys and streets following a public hearing Tuesday night at Kingsland City Hall.
