Pansy Fire Dept. ISO Rating Could Lower Premiums

RISON - Homeowners within the service area of the Pansy Volunteer Fire Department could see a decrease in their insurance premiums after the department was a awarded a Class 5 rating by the Insurance Services Office (ISO). Pansy Fire Chief Jerry Pennington announced the new ISO rating this week.

Sewing Workshop Jan. 27 in Rison

RISON - The U of A Division of Agriculture, Research and Extension will host a basic sewing and embroidery workshop Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds Meeting Room. The cost is $5 per person and only 10 spots are available.

Kingsland To Apply For $550,000 Grant

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council approved the city's 2023 budget during its regular monthly meeting last Thursday and also approved three resolutions that will give Mayor Sharon Crosby permission to apply for a $550,000 wastewater grant through the state.
