Superintendent Davy King has announced the Cleveland County School District will hold a public meeting to discuss the proposed 6-mill tax increase beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the Rison School gym. The proposed millage increase would generate the funds to pay for the construction of the new gym, estimated to cost about $12 million. This will be the second in a series of three public meetings being held throughout the district. The first was held last week at New Edinburg. The final meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the Kingsland School auditorium.
