The filing period for candidates wanting to run in the 2026 Democratic or Republican primary election began at noon Monday, Nov. 3, and will continue through noon Wednesday, Nov. 12. This filing period is for local, state and federal offices. The Democratic Party of Cleveland County will be registering candidates in the first floor hallway of the Cleveland County Courthouse at Rison during regular courthouse business hours through Nov. 12. The Cleveland County Republican Committee will be registering candidates at My Berry Patch, located at 303 Main Street at the Hwy. 35 (Magnolia Street) intersection across from the courthouse in Rison. The filing period continues through Nov. 12.
