Late Scores Lift Barton Over Rison

Barton scored three touchdowns in the final 3:50 of the game Friday as the Bears knocked off the Rison Wildcats, 46-36, in the season finale at Barton. Rison had built a 36-26 lead with less that 5 minutes left in the game off the strength of three touchdowns from Kyson Walker and two from Jaquis Rauls. Walker finished with 207 yards rushing in the game. However, Barton scored a touchdown to make it a one-score game, and then forced a Rison punt and scored again to take the lead with less than 30 seconds left. The Wildcats tried to answer but a pass was intercepted an returned for touchdown with 2 seconds left in the game. Rison, which finished 3-7 overall, missed the playoffs for the first time since the 1998.
