Rickey Spencer of Kingsland, a former member of the Kingsland and Cleveland County School Boards, has informed the Cleveland County Herald of his intentions to run for the Republican nomination for county judge.
Spencer joins Steven McClellan of New Edinburg and Rosemary Sinclair of the Staves community as the three candidates who have filed to run for county judge so far. McClellan and Sinclair are running in the Republican primary as well.
The filing period for the 2026 primary election begins at noon Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, and ends at noon Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025. The primary election will be on March 3, 2026, while the general election will be on Nov. 3, 2026.
