Rison Elementary and Rison High School reported enrollment, staffing, and state test results during the district’s annual Report to the Public. Elementary enrollment held steady at 351 students, with 23 certified staff members.
A new state law now requires 3rd graders who score Level 1 on the ELA test to be retained unless exempt. While awaiting detailed data, all students are receiving reading interventions.
Elementary students ranked among the top in the region in several subjects, particularly 5th and 6th grade ELA, math, and science. At Rison High, enrollment dipped to 307, and students earned strong test scores, ranking first in several literacy, science, and math areas.
