Rison Wildcats Come From 20 Down To Beat Drew Central, 44-38

The Rison Wildcats staged a dramatic comeback to knock off the Drew Central Pirates 44-38 after falling behind 20-0 early last Friday night in a road game at Monticello. Despite two fumbles and marked off for nearly 150 yards in penalties, Rison rallied behind a dominant rushing attack that produced 523 yards behind quarterback Kyson Walker’s 228-yard effort and Jaquis Rauls’ 163. The victory marked Rison’s 12th straight win over Drew Central since 2008 and evened their 8-3A conference record at 2-2. Th Wildcats will host the Lake Village Beavers this Friday night for homecoming. The Beavers are coming off a surprising 21-6 upset victory over the league-leading Fordyce Redbugs.
