Former Cleveland County Office of Emergency Management coordinator Stephen McClellan of New Edinburg and Cleveland County deputy clerk Rosemary Sinclair of the Staves community have announced their intentions to file as candidates for Cleveland County Judge in the upcoming Republican Primary Election. McClellan announced his bid via a post on his personal Facebook page on Sunday, Sept. 28, while Sinclair informed the Herald of her intentions this morning (Monday, Sept. 29). The office will be vacant following the passing of Jimmy Cummings on Aug. 28. Jimmy Dale Adair was appointed as County Judge to complete Cummings' term, therefore state law prevents him from running for office.The 2026 Primary Election will be held March 3, 2026....
