Woodlawn will host Dermott this Friday in just its second home game of the season at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. The Bears, now 5-0 overall and 2-0 in South Conference play, are riding high after several strong road wins and a powerful rushing attack exceeding 400 yards per game. Coach Doug Means said the team plans to leverage its size advantage against Dermott’s speed. The Rams are 1-3 and rely heavily on outside runs and deep passes to utilize it speed. Means emphasized tackling discipline and defensive containment as keys to the matchup. Junior high plays at 5 p.m., followed by varsity at 7 p.m.
