Another Heartbreaker for ‘Cats as Rison Falls in Overtime to McGehee

    Turnovers continue to haunt the Rison Wildcats as they fell to the McGehee Owls, 30-24, in double overtime Friday night at George Walker Field of Champions. The ‘Cats turned it over twice, once at the McGehee 8 on their opening drive of the game and then in the second overtime. 

    The two teams were knotted up 16-16 in regulation before McGehee needed just two plays get into the end zone in the first OT, adding the conversion to make it 24-16. Rison answered when quarterback Kyson Walker scored on an four-yard run and added the conversion to tie the game, 24-24. The Wildcats them fumbled it away on the first play of the second overtime, and it took the Owls two plays to punch it in for the win.
