Rison Hosts Lake Village for Homecoming Tonight

The Rison Wildcats will host the Lake Village Beavers for its homecoming game tonight. The pre-game ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at 7 p.m. at George Walker Field of Champions. The Wildcats (3-4, 2-2) enter with renewed confidence after rallying from 20 points down to beat Drew Central 44-38. But Lake Village (3-4, 1-3) poses a serious challenge after stunning previously undefeated Fordyce, 21-6, last week. Rison Coach Chris Vereen said the Beavers, led by standout Roderick Conic Jr., are vastly improved, running a strong ground-based offense and showing more speed and talent than in past years.
