The undefeated Woodlawn Bears (6-0, 3-0) return from a bye week tonight as they host the winless Marvell Mustangs (0-5, 0-4) for homecoming at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. The junior high teams play at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7. With Strong’s recent win over Brinkley, Woodlawn now leads the South Conference and controls its title hopes heading into the Nov. 7 finale against Brinkley. Coach Doug Means said the Bears are focused on taking one game at a time while adding new wrinkles to the offense for the stretch run. The Junior Bears also remain unbeaten in conference play.
