Bears, Junior Bears Look To Wrap Up South Conference Championships

Body

Riding high after a 60-20 win over Marvell, the Woodlawn Bears will face Brinkley at 7 p.m. tonight at the Carl Jones Sports Complex with an undefeated regular season and outright South Conference championship on the line. A Brinkley win would force a three-way tie with Strong. Coach Doug Means said his team is focused and motivated to prove doubters wrong. Woodlawn’s high-powered offense averages 66 points per conference game, led by 1,000-yard rushers Ethan Saeler and Griffin Manes. Brinkley, 5-3 overall, leans on a speedy, run-heavy attack. The Junior Bears also aim to clinch their conference title in the 5 p.m. opener.
