Bears Beat Brinkley, Win South Conference

Woodlawn jumped out to a four-score lead in the first half before cruising to a 50-18 win over the Brinkley Tigers last Friday night as the undefeated Bears clinched the eight-man South Conference championship. Woodlawn finished 5-0 in conference and 8-0 overall. Ethan Saeler rushed for 137 yards and scored three touchdowns in the first half before having to leave the game with an ankle injury. Saeler also had a 65-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Griffin Manes ran for 124 yards with one touchdow while fellow sophomore Tayte Jacks had a break-out game. Jacks had  a season-best 59 yards rushing on four carries, had a sack on defense, recovered two fumbles and an onside kick.
