Bears Look To Contain Elusive Mustang QB

WOODLAWN - Playoff seedings will be a stake for the Woodlawn Bears over the final two weeks of the regular season starting with this Friday’s trip to Marvell to take on the Mustangs in a South Conference game.The junior high teams will kickoff at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity teams at 7 p.m.

RISON - The Rison Junior Wildcats won back-to-back games for the first time this season with a 20-12 victory over Lake Village Lakeside Junior Beavers in 8-3A conference action last Thursday night at George Walker Field of Champions.

MONTICELLO - The Rison Junior Wildcats earned a thrilling 24-18 come-from-behind victory over the Drew Central Junior Pirates last Thursday night at Drew Central.Drew Central struck first in the game on a 3 3-yard touchdown run with 5:07 remaining in the second quarter.

Bears Use Dominating Run Game To Blow Out Dermott

DERMOTT - What little hope the Dermott Rams had of upseting Woodlawn was quickly extinguished last Friday night as the Bears used a 32-point first quarter enroute to a 54-6 romp at Sportman's Field in Dermott.

Long Drives, Big Plays Propel ‘Cats Past Owls, 33-20

McGEHEE - Long first half scoring drives, spiced with big plays by the offense, and another stellar defensive job helped propel the Rison Wildcats to a key 33-20 victory over the McGehee Owls at Rex Denton Stadium last Friday night. Five different players scored Rison's five touchdowns.
