Bears Turn Back DeWitt; Fall in Double OT at CMS

DEWITT - Jude Roberts scored 32 points as the Woodlawn Bears used a hot start and a hot finish to put away the Class 3A DeWitt Dragons, 66-57, in the first round of the Cox Realty Classic held Monday night at DeWitt.

Wildcats Squeeze Out 46-45 Victory

RISON - The Rison Wildcats opened the 2024-25 season  Monday night with a 46-45 victory over the Glen Rose Beavers inside the Rison Gym. It was the first game under new Head Coach Kyle Thaxton.Game details were not available at press time.Rison is coming off a 1-22 season.

Lady Bears Split Last Two Games

DEWITT - The Woodlawn Lady Bears improved to 4-2 overall Monday night 61-46 non-conference win over the DeWitt Lady Dragons at DeWitt. Game details were not available at press time.

Red Hot Lady ‘Cats Get Another Blowout

DES ARC - Rison once again had three players finish in double figures as the Lady Wildcats picked up their second consecutive blowout win with a 57-22 victory over the Lady Green Eagles at Des Arc.

Jr. Lady Wildcats Beat Des Arc in OT

DES ARC - The Rison Junior Lady Wildcats picked up their first win of the season last Thursday with an 18-13 overtime victory over the Des Arc Junior Lady Eagles in a non-conference game at Des Arc.Ana Taylor scored six points in the first quarter as the Junior Lady Wildcats opened up a 6-0 lead.
McWHORTER SIGNS WITH UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS - Woodlawn Lady Bears pitcher/first baseman Lillie-Faye McWhorter signed a National Letter of Intent last Wednesday to play softball for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks.
