UALR Announces Spring Dean's List

LITTLE ROCK - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock announces students who have made the Dean's List for the Spring 2025 semester, recognizing nearly 1,500 students whose academic performances have been superior at the end of each semester.

Green House Now Taking Donations For Fireworks Show

RISON - The Green House Cottages of Southern Hills nursing home at Rison is currently taking donations to help put on an Independence Day community fireworks show on July 4.Crystal Freeman with the Green House cottages said donations of size will be accepted.

Summer Program Begins June 12 at County Library

Monday Is Deadline to Assess Property

RISON - Cleveland County Assessor Barbara Reaves has issued a reminder that the deadline to assess business and personal property is Monday, June 2.The Assessor's office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will be closed Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.

UAM Announces Dean, Chancellor’s Lists for Spring

MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) named 300 students to the Dean’s List and 269 students to the Chancellor's List for the spring 2025 semester, according to Keith Chambliss, UAM’s registrar. Selection to the Dean's List requires a student to earn a grade point average of 3.

Cummings Family Reunion Sunday

Y - The Cummings family reunion will be held Sunday, June 1 at the Y Community Center, 8000 Hwy. 35 North, Rison, AR.   The building will be open by 10 a.m. for those who would like to come early. Potluck lunch will begin at noon.
