KINGSLAND - Linda Burns, located at 80 North Oak in Kingsland, was selected as the Cleveland County Cultivators and Master Gardeners' Yard of the Month honor for October. The Yard of the Month title is based on overall appearance, tidiness and neatness of the front of the property.

Youth Deer Hunt To Be Held Nov. 2-3

LITTLE ROCK - The 2024 Arkansas Game & Fish modern gun youth hunt will be held next Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2-3, as well as Jan. 4-5. The youth hunt is open statewide across all hunting zones.In Arkansas, hunters must between 6 and 15 years to participate in the youth modern gun deer hunt.

Gracen White Crowned Rison Homecoming Queen

RISON - Rison High School crowned Senior Gracen White as its 2024 Homecoming Queen, with senior Ragan Shrum earning the Maid of Honor title during ceremonies held Friday, Oct. 18 on the George Walker Field of Champions.

Woodlawn Gives Report to Public

RISON - The Woodlawn School District presented its annual Report to the Public last Tuesday night, Oct. 15, in the Woodlawn School cafeteria. The report included presentations by Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock, High School Principal T.J. Hill and Interim Elementary Principal Jeff Wylie.

Esten Wows Crowd at Largest ‘Rison in the Fall’

RISON -  This past Saturday's Rison in the Fall Festival brought in a large crowd to Downtwon Rison to see singer and actor Charles Esten, according to Festival Director Douglas Boultinghouse who puts on the festival with his team of Rison Shine Community Development, Inc. members.
