RISON - The Rison City Council approved two loans that are part of a $3.3 million package to replace the city's aging water lines during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday night.Mayor Charles Roberts said the city council approved one loan for $450,595.

RISON - Former president Donald Trump received 83 percent of the vote in Cleveland County during Tuesday’s presidential election as nearly 70 percent of the county’s registered voters turned out to vote.

RISON - Some voters in Cleveland County will be heading to new polling locations this Tuesday to cast their votes in the 2024 general election.Polls for the 2024 general election to decide U.S. president and other races will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5.
CHOW LINE - Veterans and their guests along with other attendees go through the serving line at the Cleveland County Veterans Appreciation Dinner held Saturday at the fairgrounds in Rison. All veterans and a guest enjoyed a catfish and chicken buffet prepared by Dorey’s Catfish. This year was the 10th anniversary of the dinner.
