Farm Conservation Day Set for Friday at County Fairgrounds

RISON - The Cleveland County Conservation District and the Arkansas Association of Conservation Districts will be hosting at Farmers Conservation Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, 309 Mockingbird Lane in Rison. Lunch will be provided.

County Passes Encroachment Law for Roads

RISON - Anyone placing anything along a county-maintained road that obstructs the flow of traffic along that road can now face fines of up to $1,000 after the Cleveland County Quorum Court approved a new ordinance during its regular monthly meeting Monday night.

Cleveland County Fair Board President Roy Phillips said they expect to have more than 100 entries in this year's fair after livestock and baked goods are checked in today.
