Dr. Edgar Jackson, a nationally renowned physician, physician-leader, scholar, educator, and advocate of eliminating health care disparities among minority populations, has written a book chronicling his rise from his childhood in Rison to leading a hospital system in Cleveland, Ohio.

West Saline Water Raising Base Rate By $5 in July

RISON - The West Saline Water Users Association at New Edinburg announced last Thursday, June 15, that it would be increasing the base water rate by $5 starting with the water provider's July bills.

Rison, Kingsland See Power Outages From Sunday Storm

RISON - A severe thunderstorm that rolled through Cleveland County early Sunday morning knocked out power in and around both Rison and Kingsland for several hours while leaving several county roads blocked by fallen trees.
