EASTER BUNNY VISITS COMMUNITY EGG HUNT AT RISON - Rison Shine C ommunity Development and the Pioneer Village co-hosted the Cleveland County Eggstravaganza Saturday at the historic village in Rison. The egg hunt featured around 2,000 eggs and more than 60 kids scouring the grounds looking for candy and prize-filled eggs. The event also included a pancake breakfast with the bunny that served as a fundraiser for the two groups.

Rison Elementary Artists of the Month: February
BACKWOODS POULTRY SHOW - Brian Gates marks off an entry in the bantam competition at the Backwoods Poultry Show held this past Saturday at the Cleveland County Fairgorunds in Rison. Frankie Harper of Rison, organizer of the event, said this year's show drew entries from as far away as Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. In total, he said just under 400 birds took part in the competition.

John Varnell, one of the organizers of the Cleveland County JAKES Day held at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds Saturday morning, gives instruction to the hundreds of youth and parents who showed up for the event aimed at encouraging kids to get involved in the outdoors.
